What is PVD?
Vacuum plating PVD is a surface treatment technology. By using arc, magnetron sputtering, electron beam heating, ion plating and other methods in a vacuum environment, metal or non-metal materials are evaporated and ionized, and then deposited on the surface of the substrate to form a thin film layer with special functions and aesthetic effects. This technology can produce high-quality surface coatings with high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, and fingerprint resistance, which are widely used in industries such as automobiles, watches, mobile phones, and electronic products.
The advantages of vacuum plating PVD are as follows
1. High coating hardness: Vacuum plating PVD coating has high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high surface gloss.
2. Good coating adhesion: The vacuum plating PVD coating has a strong bonding force with the substrate and is not easy to peel off.
3. Rich coating colors: Vacuum plating PVD can plate metal films of various colors, such as gold, silver, black, blue, etc., which can meet the needs of different products.
4. Products with complex shapes can be plated: Vacuum plating PVD technology can plate products with complex shapes, such as rubber products, plastic products, etc.
5. Pollution-free plating can be achieved: Vacuum plating PVD technology does not require chemical agents during the plating process and will not pollute the environment and water sources.
5. Pollution-free plating can be achieved: Vacuum plating PVD technology does not require chemical agents during the plating process and will not pollute the environment and water sources.
The disadvantages of vacuum plating PVD are as follows
1. High production cost: The production cost of vacuum plating PVD technology is high and requires special equipment and processes.
2. Limited coating thickness: The coating thickness of vacuum plating PVD technology cannot be too thick.
3. Limited plating part size: The equipment size and plating part size of vacuum plating PVD technology are limited, and it cannot handle parts that are too large.
