A weld neck flange is a type of flange that is designed to be butt welded to pipes. This type of flange is ideal for high-pressure and temperature applications where severe conditions are present, if you need this flange please contact us.
Flange basic introduction
Pipe flanges and their gaskets and fasteners are collectively referred to as flange joints.
Pipe flanges and their gaskets and fasteners are collectively referred to as flange joints.
Applications:
Flange joint is a kind of component which is widely used in engineering design and involves a wide range of areas. It is an essential part of pipe design and pipe fitting valves, and it is also a necessary component in equipment and equipment components (such as manholes, sight glasses, liquid level gauges, etc.). In addition, other professions such as industrial furnaces, thermal engineering, water supply and drainage, heating and ventilation, automatic control, etc., also often use flange joints.
Material:
Forged steel, WCB carbon steel, stainless steel, 316L, 316, 304L, 304, 321, chromium molybdenum steel, chromium molybdenum vanadium steel, molybdenum dititanium, rubber lined, fluorine lined material.
Categories:
Flat welded flange, neck flange, butt welded flange, ring joint flange, socket flange, and blind plate, etc. Implementation standards: GB series (national standard), JB series (Mechanical department), HG series (chemical department), ASME B16.5 (American standard), BS4504 (British standard), DIN (German standard), JIS (Japanese standard).
International pipe flange standard system:
There are two main international pipe flange standards, namely, the European pipe flange system represented by the German DIN(including the former Soviet Union) and the American pipe flange system represented by the American ANSI pipe flange.
Flat welded flange with neck - one of 12 kinds of flanges
Flat welded flange with neck belongs to the national standard flange system. It is one of the manifestations of the national standard flange (also known as GB flange), and is one of the commonly used flanges on equipment or pipelines.
Advantages: The field installation is more convenient, and the process of weld patting and kneading can be omitted.
Disadvantages: The neck height of flat welded flange with neck is low, which improves the stiffness and carrying capacity of the flange. Compared with butt welding flange, welding workload is large, welding rod consumption is high, can not withstand high temperature and high pressure and repeated bending and temperature fluctuations.
