Heatsink is a device used to dissipate heat and is often used in electronic devices. Its main function is to extract heat from the device through diffusion and radiation heat dissipation. It is usually made of metal materials with high thermal conductivity, such as copper or aluminum, and the best heat dissipation effect is achieved through shape design. The most commonly used material is aluminum, which is made using an extrusion molding process.
The manufacturing process of aluminum extruded heatsink mainly includes the following steps:
1. Material preparation: Select high-purity aluminum material. In order to improve the thermal conductivity of the radiator, the surface of the material also needs to be chemically treated.
2. Preheating of aluminum material: Preheat the aluminum material used for extrusion, generally using an electric furnace to heat it, to improve the flexibility of the aluminum material.
3. Mold design and processing: Design and process the corresponding mold according to the shape and size of the radiator.
4. Aluminum extrusion: Put the preheated aluminum material into the extrusion machine, and extrude the aluminum material into the shape of the radiator under the action of high temperature and pressure.
5. Surface treatment: After extrusion, the radiator needs to be surface treated, such as oxidation or anodizing, to improve the strength and corrosion resistance of the radiator.
6. Cutting and processing: Cut and process the extruded radiator, remove unnecessary parts, smooth the edges, etc.
7. Cleaning and quality inspection: Clean the surface of the radiator, thoroughly remove impurities, and conduct quality inspection to ensure that the thermal conductivity and shape and size of the radiator meet the requirements.
Aluminum extruded heatsink are widely used due to their precise manufacturing process, low cost and strong applicability.
