Gold zinc plating is a type of coating used to enhance the corrosion resistance of metal surfaces, while providing a decorative gold finish.
The role of galvanizing is to prevent steel rust, and steel is easily rusted in the natural atmosphere. While zinc is not easy to change in dry air, in a humid environment, it will form a dense zinc carbonate protective film on the surface, which can effectively protect steel.
Galvanizing process and methods are generally mechanical galvanizing, hot galvanizing and cold galvanizing three kinds:
First, mechanical galvanizing, mechanical galvanizing process is a more traditional galvanizing process, through mechanical collision and chemical adsorption to make zinc powder attached to the plating, forming a coating.
Second, hot dip galvanizing, also known as hot dip galvanizing, first pickling the plating, remove the oxidation layer on the surface of the plating, to provide conditions for the solid adhesion of the coating, ammonium chloride or zinc chloride plating aid cleaning, further remove the surface impurities of the plating, and then into the hot dip plating bath through soaking the zinc liquid to make the zinc liquid uniformly dense attached to the plating, forming a coating.
Third, cold galvanizing, also known as electric galvanizing, plating parts after removing the surface oil dust, pickling, cleaning to remove the surface impurities of plating parts, into the zinc salt solution, while plating parts placed zinc plate opposite, and then the plating parts connected to the negative electrode of the electrolytic equipment, zinc plate connected to the positive electrode of the electrolytic equipment, connected to the power supply, through the electrolytic reaction to attach a zinc layer on the plating.
With the continuous maturity of the new process, the way of mechanical plating has been eliminated, and the commonly used process is hot galvanizing and cold galvanizing.
